After 6 hours, I finally have my Linksys WMP54G v4.1 wireless card working, but whenever I boot into Fedora and log in, I always have to manualy use the iwconfig command to tell it the WEP key of my wireless network. How do I set that to happen during bootup?My laptop w/xp wouldn't boot this morning, got some bluescreen or some crap, so i installed fedora from disc and i can see the other comp on the network, but how can i see c on the laptop its running on?

I have a dv9005us laptop from hp. When fedora boots up, the bootup-loading screen shows up in full resolution without any trouble. When it finishes and (loads gnome?.... goes to the user login) it displays only a black screen. Using the binary driver fixes this. is there any way around using the binary driver?when F7 installed, bluetooth was broken and I had to hack /etc/sysconfig/hidd to have 'HIDDARGS=-i hci0 --server' instead of just 'HIDDARGS=--server' ... must be a problem with the installer, so when reporting a bug, what component do I report it against?

Though I am unable to install it as it says rtld(GNU_HASH) is missing. yum whatprovides rtld turned up nothing as well as lots of searching on Google. Any one have a clue what rtld is?wtf when a dhcp server exists across the network and a network installation url is set in a kickstart file, then anaconda does not let you choose if you want the f'n ipv6 stuff or not and it does not let choose if you want a static ip. Hi, I'm trying to install the latest Fedora 7-x86_64 from DVD on a brand new Dell PowerEdge SC 1435. When I pop it in and turn it on all I get is a line that reads ISOLINUX 3.36... The same DVD on my HP laptop boots to the first blue screen as expected. An Ubuntu CD boots fine on the PowerEdge. Any suggestions? Is this normal behavior on a Dell server?Can anybody tell me of a media player that will play mp3's on fedora 7? I've tried Zinf and Amarok and neither will function. If you're not aware of one, are you aware of a freeware app that will allow for me to convert them to linux format?

i'm thinking about putting in a request to order a scsi dvd reader for our rackmount server, I need to know two things first. 1. Is it safe to use the dvd to upgrade from FC5 to F7? and 2. Is Fedora ever going to come with a safe cli upgrade option?the only thing i have to figure out now is why eth0 wont come up on boot. it says failed no link present durring the boot. but as soon as it finishes the boot i just type in ifup eth0 and it works everytime ... i wonder why it fails at every boot ?

Google suggests its apparently due to some corruptions in the network driver. I have done larger transfers through HTTP at higher rates and haven't faced such a problem till today. Same problem occurs if i try to scp the files...
